We know next to nothing about Tokyo, Japan producer
Nites except for the fact that he/she is able to express extreme politeness with amazingly few words in e-mails and that he/she has made two splendid remixes for fellow Japanese band
Hotel Mexico's
It's Twinkle, one smooth, the other one a bit more harsh and upbeat, and both definitely worth a close listen. But most of all, Nites' own
White Sign is a beautiful piece of shoegaze, with thick layers of guitars drenched in reverb and some very nice synth production.

Headless Horseman is a pretty exciting new duo consisting of Fareed Sajan and Conner O'Neill. The two have only finished five tracks so far, but that doesn't really matter as one is more promising than the other. You can stream all tunes over at their
bandcamp and download my favourite
Swansong below, an amazing gem that starts with a blurry and well-known sampled bassline in the distance and merges smoothly into intimate chamber pop carried only by a cautious guitar and Kegan Hollister's moony vocals, only occasionally and carefully accompanied by gently sampled choirs. Once again, we're spellbound.

My dearest friend Louis Kishfy of the amazing
Salad Fork has released his highly anticipated new charity compilation. The two CD collection features the blogger's favourite tunes of the last three months along with 14 brand new tracks of some of our most talented young artists around. Read more about the compilation and its charity purposes
over here. You can download the whole thing for free, but I'd recommend you additionally order one of the handmade CD packages.
Among the premiered songs is an absolutely amazing collaboration of two NFOP favourites,
Craft Spells and
Emily Reo. Listen to the gem below, but make sure you give Louis the props for this.

On September 28,
Arcade Sound Ltd. will finally put out
Blackbird Blackbird's brilliant debut LP
Summer Heart on vinyl, and to celebrate this mastermind Mikey S has released a new digital EP aptly named
Rarities, a collection of eight rare and unreleased songs. It can be downloaded for free via his
bandcamp.
Below, you can listen to two of the new tracks, the fuzzy synth ballad
Left To Hurt and
Understanding, a slowly meandering thick wall of layered synth sounds, a chillwave gem that might legitimately called an instant classic of its genre.

Our beloved friend
Emily Reo has sent over this brand new collaboration with Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts' experimental pop wizards
Truman Peyote from their forthcoming split 7 inch with
Attached Hands which is about to be put out by
Post Records.
Turn Into Feathers is a breathtaking expedition into sound, an honest liaison by two of this year's most exciting emerging artistic endeavours.
Additionally, Emily's spellbinding cassette
Witch Mtn, one of the finest things I've heard all year, is still available via
Breakfast of Champs Records. Below, get yourself mesmerized by the more than beautiful and mystical title track.

To assert this collaboration "makes sense" would be a blunt understatement - if you've listened to
my most recent mix, you'll already know what I mean. Two of our absolute favourites, Sydney's Lavurn Lee aka
Guerre and South Carolina's Evan Adams aka
Top Girls have finally taken the long overdue step and joined forces to combine their impeccable sense for slow-burning, dark and reduced rhythm and blues, and the result is nothing less than a masterpiece.
Waiting is like the last missing piece in the bigger picture when it comes this year's new music landscape.
