More amazing news from the highly prolific, seriously underestimated but apparently also pretty incestuous Albuquerque, New Mexico music scene: The self-proclaimed "meditative psychedelic post folk" collective
Yoda's House (our beloved
Emma Crane and
Bruce Hample are members) are about to release a new tape named
Then Eats Them via our dearest Kansas label
Solid Melts. Make sure you get yourself a copy of this absolutely tempting blend of saturnine and pretty forward thinking experimentalist sounds. Pre-order
here.

Hushed and fragile folk pop songs together with Emma Crane as the wonderful
Elephant Paintings. Experimental drone ambient sounds under the recording moniker
Hedia. Albuquerque's Bruce Hample is a man of many creative faces, and with his latest project
Reighnbeau which essentially is him alone again with some live backing by Ty Ryder and Maxwell Richardson, Hample sets foot into his darkest territory to date, slowly enchanting and disturbing lullabies that might keep you up all night.
Reighnbeau's debut C34 tape is now available directly via the artist's
myspace. A full length is in the works.

Sample heavy and blissed out jams from the southern realms to give you some well deserved Sunday evening distraction.
Forest Spirits is a one man endeavour by Liam Fitzpatrick, a 20 year old biology student hailing from Auckland, NZ, and
Summer Sleep and
Storm Clouds both revolve astutely around chopped up and alienated samples resulting in two nicely chilling yet intriguing pieces of electronica.

I promised I had some more Norwegian music in hand for you all, didn't I? This is
Therese Aune, one of my favorite female Norwegian singer-songwriters (now based in Copenhagen), making lovely, dreamlike indie pop spiced up by her strong, piercing vocals. Think of her as a more melancholic Regina Spektor, inspired by the nordic tunes of our own
Moddi, whom also happens to be in her circle of friends (which doesn't really surprise me).
Download her demo for free

Our favourite Burlington, Vermont girl Erin Cavellier aka
Lady Lioness who we'd brought to your ears for the first time
in July has finally put up a new song on her
bandcamp, and
In and Out is a very welcome reminder of why we admire her intimate and hushed bedroom folk so much, sparsely instrumented melancholy carried by Erin's simply beautiful voice.

The wonderful Irvine, California garage pop outfit
Tan Dollar return with a bunch of fine new pieces of ear candy that will soon be available on tape, among them the sweet jangling guitar happy hummingbird named
Impossible Love, something most likely only folks from the Golden State can come up with without blushing - and that's exactly why we love this music scene so unrestrainedly.

The blissful Paris duo
Total Warr will have their debuting release
Cascades EP out on September 28 via the Canadian boutique label
Hi-Scores. Listen below to two of the tracks, easy and joyful yet rewarding experimental sunshine pop that manages to collate a great amount of this year's dominating styles in indie pop in a very interesting way.
