Earlier this year I received a copy of Siinai's debut album Olympic Games from the Oslo-based record label Splendour, which finally had its worldwide release on Monday, and which you have all reason to be excited about. I must admit it's been a little while since I last had krautrock on the menu, but the Helsinki based four-piece brings the 1971 nostalgia back to life along with hints of shoegaze and dizzy psychedelia.
A few days ago, the slightly mysterious producer Physical Therapy gave us his take on 'Anthem 1&2', the first track off Olympic Games which you can listen to below.

Not much information on this one, except that Rosaries is supposedly the solo project of some Reed Parker who's hailing from Saugerties, New York, but there's something quite irresistible about this brief lil jam that just dropped into my inbox that I can neither really grasp nor dissect at the moment, so for the time being suffice it to add that this one's making my feet move and my face smile, for whatever reason.

New psyched-out, trippy and somehow sophisticated pop gem by Princeton, New Jersey's The New Lines, taken from their forthcoming debut full-length All That We See and Seem, due in mid-October and to be released via The Great Pop Supplement. Once again a pretty cinematic affair.

After her recent garage-y hideout with Terrible Truths, Adelaide-based Stacey Wilson is back to unveil some new material from her gorgeous solo project Rites Wild. "Seasonal Shine" is a pretty monotonous affair, with restrained layers of clean analogue synth and heavily reverberated vocal sounds over a slow, steady and supposedly deliberately shiftless drum machine beat, resulting in a very ambiguous mood which on top of all that has adequately been captured by the accompanying visuals.

It's been a long silence from the Norwegian quintet Leif & The Future since they released their super catchy radio hit "Let You Go" a few years ago, and I'm pretty sure I haven't been the only one waiting impatiently for their promised full-lenght. Finally, their debut album Songs of Youth is ready to embrace its listeners with a ten-digit tracklist featuring some of the finest Norwegian pop, wrapped up in consistent, dreamy soundwaves.
Having already been early out on declaring my love for the album, our friends at the Norwegian indie label Brilliance Records were kind enough to let us give y'all the first listen to Leif & The Future's single "Summerdays", which also happens to be one of my very own favourites from the record.

NFOP Sessions took a little vacation during the summer (after posting the videos with Solander and Mire Kay, which you might or have might not seen already), but now we're finally back in business — and we promise you it's not the last session you will see this fall.
I've been a great fan of the Norwegian Therese Aune and her dreamlike, quirky indie pop ever since discovering her music at a small concert in Oslo a few years ago, and was pretty stoked when she wanted to do a session with us. In an antique shop in Oslo, Therese and her band present us a brand new song which I assume we can expect to find on her long-awaited debut album next year, for now going under the name "Astray". Enjoy.
We've had the honor to showcase some of New South Wales, Australia's Chris Hearn's splendid work as Alps earlier this year in February and so we're now more than delighted to hear the news that the lo-fi garage wiz has hooked up with Shawn Reed and his Iowa City-based yet curiously down under-affectionate imprint Night-People.
Alps' self-titled C-30 tape will be dropped sometime soon (once Reed's own Wet Hair have returned from their tour through Australia), and until then you may enjoy the first track "Stay Gold" both visually and aurally, a tune that's considerably more stripped-down and unwrought than Hearn's previous efforts, a fact that actually makes his music assort quite well with a lot of other stuff from the label's wonderful roster.

These seriously lovely folk pop jams of St. Paul's four-piece Lost Shepherds recently found their way to our ears, following up from their self-titled debut album (which dropped on bandcamp exactly a year ago), with the four-track EP Venture. Behind the wall of cozy pop harmonies is a wave of melancholy which feels a little different from their debut — a change in sound I honestly have to admit I've enjoyed more than their earlier tunes, all though there obviously is a red thread between them. Make sure to listen to the whole thing right here or download it for a few bucks.
