As with his other (probably now defunct) project Neon Canyon, the music of Calgary, Alberta artist Mark Webber's solo project Memory Screen is very much about textures and atmosphere. I've stumbled across this brand new tune yesterday, and though its future fate remains blurry ("I believe it may or may not be on a Memory Screen release"), the beautifully drifting dream pop of Bath House is something that shouldn't be left unheard out there.

Saarlouis, Germany-based psychedelic collective Datashock officially dropped their latest double LP Pyramiden Von Gießen last week, an astonishing collection of eight delightful tracks ranging from five to 20 and a half minutes. On the album, the group's experimental psych rock builds sweeping soundscapes with slow-burning, wide arching melodic compositions that are occasionally interrupted by heavy drones and invariably underpinned by stunningly complex rhythmic arrangements.
The free-floating eight and a half minute jam Kanal Telemedial Energieausgleich has the band most heavily and maturely drawing on kraut and kosmische influences with its turgescent layers of analogue synth patterns and restraint, otherworldly vocals that in the piece's second half give way to tribal drums and a choir of distant, ethereal murmurings.

This project appears to be heading into an even weirder direction. Which is not a bad thing, not at all. So, Ryan Gabel of Arc Light fame sent over this new new jam the other day, it's the first single off the upcoming Myrrh EP titled A Great Flood of Water. This beat is strangely captivating, as in really strange and really captivating.

Our favorite Tokyo-based electronic music label Cuz Me Pain just hit us up with another artist from their exciting roster. The Beauty appears to be (as usual, not much info provided) a one-man project who's recently dropped a split tape with the equally amazing CMPR member Jesse Ruins. He has a few more tracks available via his bandcamp, including Sun Falls, a hazy, slightly dark and mysterious, echo-laden electro otherworld.

New York based eerie songstress Ela Orleans is finally about to release her much anticipated new cassette NEO PI-R via Clan Destine Records. Featuring 18 tracks, the tape is a collection of Ela's lo-fi takes on a four-track recorder, a technique that fabulously underlines the singer's otherworldly approach to music. The cassettes will ship in the beginning of May and can be pre-ordered over here.

Istanbul electronic duo Fuji Kureta has a new album forthcoming, See Through will be out within the next couple of weeks. Watch this space for further info, and while you do that take a listen to the full-length's first track to surface below. Rope features Deniz Öztürk's clear vocals over a mellow beat and a sugary, tinkling melody.
