last week, our most adored man behind the psych pop project
BAnanas Symphony has put a short EP with the same name on his
bandcamp today. And with the new tracks, things start to get a little more demanding -
To Love Somebody is a very experimental approach that only tentatively unfolds itself to become a very smooth pop gem for a short amount of time before it crumbles away again into a congregation of squeaks and chirrs. Tempting.

Nites except for the fact that he/she is able to express extreme politeness with amazingly few words in e-mails and that he/she has made two splendid remixes for fellow Japanese band
Hotel Mexico's
It's Twinkle, one smooth, the other one a bit more harsh and upbeat, and both definitely worth a close listen. But most of all, Nites' own
White Sign is a beautiful piece of shoegaze, with thick layers of guitars drenched in reverb and some very nice synth production.

Headless Horseman is a pretty exciting new duo consisting of Fareed Sajan and Conner O'Neill. The two have only finished five tracks so far, but that doesn't really matter as one is more promising than the other. You can stream all tunes over at their
bandcamp and download my favourite
Swansong below, an amazing gem that starts with a blurry and well-known sampled bassline in the distance and merges smoothly into intimate chamber pop carried only by a cautious guitar and Kegan Hollister's moony vocals, only occasionally and carefully accompanied by gently sampled choirs. Once again, we're spellbound.
