"Water" is a considerably short treat but nonetheless very remarkable, neatly merging Kinlaw's intricate beat works and off-kilter sampling with the gloomy post-chillwave/witch house rumblings of Bodhi Beats. Not sure what the two are up to next, but be sure to give this thing here a couple of spins.

This stellar new Dean Blunt & Inga Copeland tune/video was dropped into my inbox earlier today - "Can We Poison Dub" of course incorporates a lot of snippets/elements/samples of earlier Hype Williams/DB&IC tracks and it sometimes seems tough to pin down what exactly is new and previously unheard, but this one at any rate develops a riveting dynamic over the course of its eight minutes before it drops out again all of a sudden, with no further explanation given. Just listen, and if you haven't gotten your hands on the duo's excellent Hyperdub debut yet, be sure to cop it here.

Naked emotions and piercing vocals might perhaps be the keywords to the haunting, synth-infused drone of Some Ember, the moniker of California's Dylan Travis. He also created the video for "Face Of Sand" which you can have a peak at below, taken from Hotel of Lost Lights that was just unveiled on Tuesday this week.

Turning his back on pop, in a way, "Unknown Needs" is a massive, kosmische-induced piece of expansively layered synths, meandering its course over nearly ten minutes to build up an immersive, deeply absorbing wall of sound.
"Unknown Needs" is taken off New Needs, Leaving's third EP which will be released on CDr in a limited edition of 50 via the artist's own imprint OWLS tomorrow, April 28.
