The Whendays: “Untru Love II”.

02 Nov 2011 — Tonje Thilesen
After signing the splendid experimental pop duo Pandr Eyez just a few weeks ago, our good friends in Cascine are already back with some more golden pop for us all — the Stockholm natives Simon and Serge aka The Whendays. With their slowed-down, timeless pop tunes and glowing vocals, it almost feels as we are being drawn back to the streets of our insecure youth. Their first self-titled EP is out on digital download and stream at Cascine on November 15th, while you can feel free to download their single "Untru Love II" from Soundcloud. Also, check out the splendid video the boys directed and shot themselves for the track below. Premiere: Slyy - “Pinched Up”.

01 Nov 2011 — Henning Lahmann
After returning from their forced hiatus, the world's friendliest dudes north of the Antarctic over at MJ MJ Records have prepped another stellar release, a tape by Boston, Massachusetts duo Slyy, consisting of Jake Yuhas aka BugEyes and Miles Coe aka Milochondria. Joining forces for their first proper full-length, Serious Sauce Vol. 2 is a 46 minute work stuffed with quite incredible beat extravaganza, made mainly via analog synthesis and bolstered with fine live recorded bass. I've been told that they even might smoke weed sometimes, and oh it shows in the best possible of ways. Both laid back and swirling, at times wriggly, always delightful: Move your feet, or just remain seated. Get Serious Sauce Vol. 2 digitally here and don't forget to order one of those shiny cassettes right here. Cover art by Brian Vu. Actress Pets: “Actress’s Pets”.

01 Nov 2011 — Henning Lahmann
Actress Pets is the new side project of AyGeeTee's Andrew G. Thomson and probably, or probably not, additionally someone else, nothing's confirmed or denied in that regard. However, at least we're sure that these are the project's first two, self-evidently entitled tracks. Makes us wonder what the third one might be called. Or not. Anyway, this sounds all pretty cool: Actress Pets - Actress's Pets Actress Pets - More Actresses With Pets Read more → Actress Pets is the new side project of AyGeeTee's Andrew G. Here's a wonderful, small new side project by a not yet to be revealed purveyor of everything warm and fuzzy and beautiful, just "to put out weird four-track pop stuff". Premiere: Glass Vaults - “Golden”.

30 Oct 2011 — Tonje Thilesen
Do you remember the New Zealand based electro-ambient outfit Glass Vaults, whom hit us with their amazingly beautiful Glass EP last year? Well, I've been waiting quite impatiently for new tunes of theirs for my mind to drift into, as just as Glass EP and tracks such as "Set Sail" and "New Space" made us think of distant, open-wide ocean landscapes through the eyes of someone who had never before sat his foot on solid ground before. Today, their second EP Into Clear saw its light of day over at Bandcamp, and is absolutely worth the long wait. However, where Glass EP would draw our bodies back on earth towards its very end, Into Clear explores a bigger, more unsafe space as far away the ocean as one can come, but still with a pearl-white, pure beauty floating underneath. Grab a free digital copy via bandcamp, or order one of those delicate LTD vinyl editions (250 black and 50 exclusive coloured ones) over at JUKBOX. Glass Vaults - Golden Glass Vaults - Gold Star
