Fresh cuts from the raddest and startlingly innovative Vermont-based cassette imprint NNA Tapes, this time by a fellow hailing from this side of the Atlantic, Antwerp's Hans Dens aka Innercity. The Pyramids of Northeast Belgium might not exist (though you never know) but they become alarmingly real in this dense though minimal piece of electronic psychedelia, a mind-altering trip that becomes particularly intriguing with its straight techno-ish beat that's fading in and out, cursorily attempting to add some ephemeral structure to the enticing mishmash of kraut and new age.
The two-track cassette 7 inch Dada Les Apocalypses / The Pyramids of Northeast Belgium is gonna be released August 29.

Miami, Florida psych rockers Lil Daggers are finally dropping their eagerly anticipated self-titled debut LP today, and as a means of celebration the dudes also put out the album's first video for the brief but amazing tune Dada Brown. The video was done by Miami director Michael J. Ruiz-Unger and brings us a sick story of two slightly deranged young people, a gloomy desert scenery and a very weird surprise. See for yourself.
The LP is out via Limited Fanfare Records. Order here.

Splendid news from the ever-exploring Arbutus Records, here's the first single by Montréal-based band TOPS who seem to be right on time with their shameless embrace of the gentlest strands of 70s-dripping soft rock. Turn Your Love Around is a wonderfully lush and melodic early morning rush hour car stereo radio banger that will never be played on any radio station. Weird times.
Expect more to come soon.

You might remember the self-titled record that Copenhagen based Brian Batz released under the moniker Sleep Party People last year, a record which also happened to be one of my personal favourites that year, mixing Brian's own pitched-out vocals with mysterious shoegaze in the veins of Slowdive or Cocteau Twins.
On Sleep Party People newest four-track EP Remixes that dropped a few weeks ago on iTunes Store, Brian has managed to get a hold of remixes by some pretty big names — including Peter Silberman of The Antlers and minimal electronic magician Trentemøller, as well as Troels Abrahamsen from the Danish indie rock band VETO and electronic producer/singer-songwriter Mikael Simpson. The outcome is no less than superb; giving us a unique peak into the different artists own review of Sleep Party People's ghostly, blissed-out sound.
Stream the EP via soundcloud below or simply just purchase the beauty itself right here.

For those of you who have been waiting for this, if you exist, we're more than happy to announce the arrival of the first NFOP tote bag, designed by and dropped in collaboration with the rad folks over at London's Forty Ounce Clothing. We think it's beautiful, and if you agree you may order yours right here (make sure to check out the rest of their stuff, too).
To mark the occasion, the Forty Ounce crew has asked us to assemble a little mix to extend their splendid collection. And here it is, a little summer late night club trip including our latest favorites and some older, loosely Berlin-related electro stuff. Hope you enjoy.
01 Ellen Allien - Einsteigen
02 Laurel Halo - Hour Logic (First Part)
03 Grimes - Urban Twilight
04 Boy Friend - The False Cross
05 Laurel Halo - Hour Logic (Last Part)
06 Melon - Nitzi (In My Mind, So Fine)
07 Ada - Lovestoned (feat. Raz Ohara)
08 Arne Zank - Exzellenz
09 Psychic Reality - Expla
10 Sascha Funke - Summer Rain
11 Clams Casino - Drowning
12 Holy Other - Feel Something
13 Trentemøller - Moan (Mikael Simpson Version)
Listen to the mixtape below or download the whole thing over here.
Photo for the mixtape and tote bag as usually taken by Florian Reischauer of Pieces of Berlin. Check out his just relaunched and re-designed website here and if you happen to be in town, don't miss his Public Viewing polaroid project that's part of Sehen und Gesehen Werden, a group exhibition that's starting this Saturday, August 8, at Galerie Bauchhund in Neukölln.

News from our favorite Brooklyn-based extraterrestrial Zonotope™, some spot-on analog synth incursions with heavily spaced-out effects and featuring a Holodeck-generated karaoke bar singing that showcases a retrofuturist romanticism that curiously reminds me of Daedelus circa Invention.
I Fell in Love With a Cyborg is already available digitally and will soon be magnetized onto a split cassette together with Panabrite, to be released by MABA Tapes.

Wonderfully psyched-out vibes coming straight outta Dover, New Hampshire by a bunch of slackers who've gathered under the name Mmoss. Blatantly sailing the noble late 60s galleon towards the outer realms of haziness, Another Day could have been written anytime between then and now, but who cares if it is something so deliciously glorious, right?
You may find more stuff of the friendly bunch over here. Mmoss' debut LP i from last year is also still available on vinyl via the mighty Burger Records.
