Born Gold “Abdomen”

We're admittedly a bit late on this one, so you'll have to excuse us. Born Gold's Cecil Frena is no stranger to pop music, although in an unconventional way. His new stuff has him moving into a more accessible direction, dropping the autotune that was the signature of last year's release Little Sleepwalker and throwing his voice into the foreground of the mix. "Abdomen" is a damn catchy pop song, showcasing Cecil's ability to create hooks that get stuck in your head. It's still very clearly Born Gold's brand of hyperactive dance music, and that's what we love about it.

I Am An Exit will be out October 8 on Art Control (US)/Hovercraft (Canada)/Chill Mega Chill (vinyl/limited tape). Born Gold is also currently embarking on a house show-only North American tour. Check out the dates for that after the break.
