Delightful, sad-eyed dream pop by Toronto-based outfit
Bulldog Skin, basically the solo bedroom project by one of Canada's finest music connoisseurs, Marc Z. Gold of
Gold Soundz, with the gentle help of some friends, who are here mainly delivering vocal duties. "Kensington" is lost in obvious shoegaze references, however without being at risk to actually drown, probably due to its sheer, unashamed beauty that effectively obstructs any incipient, petty criticism. The song is part of Bulldog Skin's
White EP, the final installment of Gold's "conceptual blue, black, and white EP project". Though we're not sure about the whereabouts of the first EP, you may listen to
Black from 2010
over here.
