Halasan Bazar “See Emily Play (Syd Barret cover)” (exclusive)

We're embracing yet another day of this strange, tropical heatwave in Berlin (with degrees up to 35°C, a.k.a 95° F for you North Americans), while counting our mosquito bites (hello, global warming) and drinking all the beers we can get our hands on. In the meantime, the fine psych poppers Halasan Bazar from the Danish capital have just arrived in our graceful city, just in fact setting up to play alongside some of our favourite Scandinavian acts at the Midtsommar Festival this afternoon, but before they do so, they asked us to help them out with a sweet little favour for one of their dearest friends Emily. I've recently made a cover of the Syd Barret song "See Emily Play". Not because I had any plan to do so, but Emily, our guitarist Carl's girlfriend, has her birthday today. She's throwing a big party in Sweden, and all of us in Halasan are good friends of that crew, but we can't be there [since] we're playing in Berlin. Therefore we recorded this song for her to play in Sweden on her birthday, kinda like a kiss from a far from Halasan Bazar.
