Home is a delightfully restrained effort on the intersection of neo-classical and ambient, quite easy on the ears yet not without enough twists and refined details in the arrangement - that features soprano Patricia Boynton and an ensemble of musicians playing woodwind, piano, pipe organ and violin alongside Smalley's own guitar play and field recordings - to keep the listener's attention.
