Still Parade “Fields” (exclusive)

Hearing "Fields," the first single off of Berlin-based Still Parade's new EP, I'm reminded of the first couple songs Pure Bathing Culture released from their album Moon Tides a year or so ago. Both groups proffer reciprocal tones of litheness with tra-la-la-ing acoustic guitar and a quietly peaking, glow-emanating keyboard. And these sounds all match the theme of "Fields": thinking about what could have been with a person who slipped through your fingers ("But we're still miles away/Never even close"). Still Parade is headed by Niklas Kramer plus pals, buddies, and others pitching in (all very Mutal Benefit-like). Knowing the home of Kramer's grandpa was one of the locations where this EP was made, it's easy to postulate that time spent there would lead to this song.

The Fields EP will be available at the beginning of May.
