Ever since we posted about our
crush on UK based alt-rockers
Tawny Owl and the Birds of Prey, more tunes have continued to drop from this incredibly talented songwriter (with the Glenn Danzig-esque voice) Tawny Owl and his band, whom recently also put up these
two lovely tracks via their bandcamp site. However recently, Tawny Owl himself has been working on a more experimental and stripped-down sound aside from the Birds of Prey, where the beautiful, cinematic piece
My Boot Heel is a Lullaby (below),
was
recently featured on Bare Feet Recordings' 4th compilation CD
Sing Me To Sleep, run by Birds of Pret guitarist Alex Carson. The compilation also features work of BoP's drummer
Mat Riviere, as well as Hillwalker, a side project of the bassist
Sam J. Hill and BoP singer/guitarist/violinist Lydia Walker.
