The Neighborhood is the solo project of LA via Portland, Oregon artist Ryan Dolliver who, oddly enough, spent two years of touring as the live keyboarder for, oh yes, Hockey, before coming up with a bunch of own material that he subsequently started recording in California. The result is a six-track self-titled and self-released cassette, and after some initial skepticism this amazingly authentic, 80s dripping late night sleaziness has been on constant repeat on my stereo. Dolliver is planning on dropping his first full-length later this year, but till then cop his melancholic glam synth drama
