Here's a jammy, shuffling instrumental tune by
Two People Playing Music (2PPM) from their album titled
For People, which was released digitally this past February. The track conjures up a sense of delight and sentimental observance, seeming to trace the ebb and flow of a passing landscape and all its dips, rises, tucks and swells. Unlike many instrumentals, this song doesn't fall prey to careless drift. It displays a thoughtful tension and melodic variance that holds your attention as it shifts and unfolds.
Keyboardist Chase Hudson and drummer Sean Sullivan originally formed 2PPM in Northwest Florida with the intent "to explore the sonic boundaries between popular styles and the musical unknown [while presenting] the conscious or unconscious headspace that we all share." The duo is currently writing new material for their third effort,
Desert Country and Physics, which will be released in June.
