We don't know much about Bloomington, Indiana outfit
We Don't Surf apart from the fact that, well, they don't surf. The band's bio on their myspace plainly informs us that we're dealing with musicians who don't surf but wish they surfed so they sing about their not surfing, and on
Facebook we're blessed with the information that their hometown is "not the beach", which all kinda sounds compelling to us. In fact, the only thing we would like to know is how they've managed to record such a ridiculously beautiful and authentic-sounding 60s Mexican throwback piece like
La Cuenta de Fernando Ramos EP, but on the other hand, obviously we weren't curious enough to ask either. So suffice it to add that all their stuff is available on
bandcamp. And oh yeah, we really dig this.
