Not sure if you ran across the self-titled White Birds debut EP last year featuring the rather gorgeous garage pop jam "Bee Hive". Quite honestly I had already forgotten about their existence (don't blame me - there's too much music around these days), but putting the tune back on brought some beautiful summer memories to life. It is impossible to avoid to mention of the Vancouver based trio Shimmering Stars or Youth Lagoon when spinning through their debut LP When Women Played Drums, throughout-fully infused with sweetly polished, thoughtful tunes.
