Nude Beach. Now until someone finds the time to explain this nuclear fusion of mind-boggling talent and creativity to me in more detail, suffice it to say that BAnanas Symphony's new tunes
Dumb Teenage Love and
It's Coming Around are both dream pop in the most intriguing way, full of longing and with just the right hint of melancholy, the latter one drenched in reverb making it almost classic shoegaze, while the former has a twisted tropical rhythm that pretends joyfulness while ashamedly hiding the sadness that lies beyond.

Neon Black & the Prisms is mainly the project of Long Beach, California resident Sim Jackson Jr. III, live joined by Orion Webb on bass and Chris West on drums. After being part of the Southern Cali punk scene for a short time, Jackson rejected their overall lo-fi attitude and came up with Neon Black & the Prisms which he describes as something between post punk, psychedelia, and shoegaze, and though we indeed see quite a variety of styles blended into Jackson's tunes, we'd consider it idle to discuss this any further as the bottom line is without any doubt simple yet stupendously brilliant pop music, and that's all we're here for after all.
