According to Google Maps, there's exactly one
Hamilton Road in the Garden State, very roughly connecting Hillsborough's public library with the Spooky Brook Golf Course, and though we don't know if Matt Mondanile is singing about this particular road or if the name's just a proxy for any street in the urban fringe,
Hamilton Road is another piece of suburban summer splendour by our favourite hypnagogist, one hundred seventy four seconds of easily meandering, slightly distorted guitars and blurred vocals, in other words, exactly the signature that made us adore that guy in the first place.
Bearing in mind that we're only listening to an unmastered version of
Hamilton Road, we're nonetheless stoked by the first song from Matt's upcoming
Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics, due later this year on
Woodsist Records.

Our favourite Lone Star fellow Lance Smith aka
Pandit returns with a perfect Sunday afternoon treat, four minutes of blissful dream pop of the shoegazey kind,
Creek Bed is a splendid wall of sound built up by washed out guitars and synths heavily drenched in reverb accompanied by distant and echo-laden vocals, a piece made for reclining on a riverbank in the hazy sunlight, just watching the water flow by.
Creek Bed was produced for the highly anticipated and hopefully very soon arriving
White Guys With Beards & Friends Vol. Three, so thanks a lot to Lance and
WGWB's Brian Wood for letting me post this little teaser.
Regarding Pandit's upcoming full length on
Lefse Records, we're gonna have to wait until January to see its release, but at least there's hope that we'll be blessed with a little cassette EP on
Orchid Tapes sometime later this year.

After the wonderful albums

MMR, the unbelievably prolific Miller Rodriguez aka
Mickey Mickey Rourke already has another record in the pipeline.
Inner Gazing will be something even more special though, as it's gonna be a collaboration album between Rodriguez and his friends, among them such rad artists as
Foxes In Fiction,
Raw Moans,
Hooray! (not sure under which moniker, as
we've reported earlier that Hooray! has been declared dead), and
Craft Spells, which sounds pretty amazing.

Lee Noble lives in Los Angeles, and when he's not making delightful drone ambient stuff (his most recent outputs of this direction can be downloaded for free via his
bandcamp - I'd recommend you do), Noble makes some kind of laid back garage music, beautiful tunes consisting of hazy guitar melodies, occasional tape noises, very reduced percussion and some subtle synth work, sometimes a little beachy without ever overtly jumping on the bandwagon, all in all this is lo-fi pop in the best sense. His latest record
Creeping Death Fever has been released by
La Station Radar on handmade CDr with artwork by the master himself, limited to 50 copies. Listen to three of the eight tunes below, including a wonderful Bowie/Pop cover.
Moreover, Noble has recently started the tiny tape label
No Kings. For sure something to keep in mind as well.

Old Arc, an apparently seriously fresh duo from Santa Cruz, California. We can't even decide which of the five songs from their self-titled EP we like most, all are sample heavy synth monsters with the right amount of psych and soul and experimental extravaganza to keep us listening over and over, so here are only two of them, but make sure you grab the splendid rest of their debut over at
