Hubie Davison “Haven”

So here we go: "Haven" was part of the set of tunes that we featured when we first introduced London resident Hubie Davison's music back in December, but we had to wait until today to be able to listen to the track again, this time supposedly in its final and official version. And we instantly remember why we think that the young producer is one of the most exciting talents out there right now. The beats are intricate and somewhat faintly exotic, yet at all times aptly unobtrusive even where additional layers subsequently emerge from the mix. Juxtaposed with playful synth buildups and fittingly ethereal vocal samples, and all with just the right amount of bass as the tune's fundament, "Haven" serves as the perfect appetiser for the things that Davison has up his sleeve.

"Haven" is part of an EP that should be out on Leisure System sometime soon.
